Apart from our popular cult artists and former hit artist on the label many
others came through the door. Most band experience one fate more often than not
and that is too split up just when they are getting somewhere. This sadly was
the fate of too many artists we discovered. The Reaction who feature on 'The
Waterloo Sunset Story' (see releases page) were a Mod band that had it all.
Discovered by Eleanor Rigby & her Producer/Songwriter Russell they released
one single ' Make up your mind', which is today considered an all time Mod
classic. Sadly the 7" single is long since deleted and fetches a minimum of £7
on the collectors market. For less than £3 you can get this track & its
B-side, plus an Eleanor Rigby rarity & 20 other great tracks on The Waterloo
Sunset Compilation album.
Eleanor Rigby's backing band 'The Grave' had
more than a few names in it. Tim London went on to have hits like 'Hippy Chick'
in his band 'Soho'. Nicky Simonon joined his brother on drums in 'The Clash'.
Trapper from 'Peter & The Test Tube Babies', Brian Powell (formerly with The
Mission) & Dick Adler (of Piranhas) were amongst the last line up before
changed their name to the Psychomatics.
Studio 68 were another Mod band that
showed a lot of promise on 'Themes from the 60's vol.1'. although the band
didn't crack it Paul Moody from the band went on to be a top writer for
NME.
Moonchild on Vol.2 of the Sixties themes gained a turntable hit with
'Bad Bad Girl'. On the same album 'Adventures of Parsley' more than made a mark
having their version of 'Casino Royale' used as D.J (never Mind The Buzzcocks
Presenter) Mark Lamar's Themes tune for his show for two years. They toured with
'Jo Brand' and did a radio one session before returning to the Cult T.V
conventions.

Megiddo on Themes from the 60's Vol.3 won the John Lennon Music Award and
lead Singer Suzanne went on to become a presenter on Piccadily radio in
Manchester.
The Incredibly Strange Film Band are the Worlds leading Cult
Themes live outfit and featured on 3 Cult Themes albums. The Sweeney had their
own successful Indie albums and are still going strong. Once More Into the
Bleach are the Worlds number one Blondie tribute band recommended by Debbie
Harry herself. Joan Martin (Aka Phoenix .J) Was a top 20 hit artist from
Singapore and is now lead singer with Indie darlings 'Greenhaus'. Her Bond Track
'Moonraker. On Cult Themes from the 70's Vol.2 was singled out from special
praise by John Barry himself.
We could fill many more pages with the life
stories of each band but suffice to say there is a lot of talent featured on all
the 6 Volumes of Cult T.V & Film Themes put out by Future Legend, especially
the last Volume The 80's.
All this and Russell C. Writer who produced nearly
all the tracks on Future Legend Records was recently listed in 'The Top 2o Most
Innovative Record Producers of All Time.
We are currently tracking down what
happen to most acts to do a 'Where are they now page'. So keep checking in with
the site.
