FILMS
1.MIXING WITH THE UNKNOWN: Traditional Horror meets Pulp Fiction. Six connecting stories woven into one big one about people coming into contact with the book' Mixing with the Unknown'. It covers new styles of Vampires, Ghosts, Poltergeist, Witchcraft, Voodoo, Ouija Boards & Urban Horror.
Although there is plenty of gore, sex and a bit of humour most stories are
character driven and each story could make a decent film in its own write. In
today's market place attention span is key and that's why multiple stories (As
used often by Tarrantino) is a good ploy to hold people attention rather than
one drawn out idea or the same old slash them up approach.
However the jump
and gore factor is very much in keeping with what today's audience expect from a
Horror film and then some. It also contains some new angles as well as familiar
themes show good originality in a genre sometimes lacking in such things.
2.OVER AND OVER: A Music Business revenge thriller. A person can only be pushed so far before they snap and say that's enough and wreak havoc on the focus of their frustration.
On one side of the table you have the artist who has sweated blood sweat and tears and often gotten deep into debt to create an album only for the person calling the shots at a record label to pick it up like its something they just scraped off the bottom of their shoe and place it in the bin without even listening to it not knowing or caring what a devastating sequence of events can be started as a result of such an action.
There have been many revenge films and many music business films but the two
have never really been married together. So on the revenge front it portrays a
new angle other than the usual motives.
On the music business front most
films never ring true because its usually a Film Directors idea of what he
thinks the music business is all about(not very accurate). Also stories are
often a Cinderella approach of poor struggling artist becomes mega star.
As
well as being a writer Russell has worked as a major force in the music industry
for many years and if allowed to Direct will bring a new realism to the subject
not yet tackled. It would be more Film Noir than Film Flop.
This film also
has the added bonus of CD Spin off sales because of the musical content. It also
has the possibility to help break any Actress/Singer who has equal talent in
both areas.
3.WISH UPON A STAR: Be careful what you wish for it might come true. This film explores that saying with new twists. It's very much in the vein of the 'Twilight Zone'. It can be done as a Short film in its current form, A pilot for a T.V Show or developed into a feature.
4.A HARD FOR DR.JEKEL SEX FOR MISTER HYDE: A sex comedy with edge.
This is based on the 1932 Film version of Robert Louis Stevenson's Classic Jekel
& Hyde. Only it has two new major elements to it Sex & Comedy.
All
the dialogue is new and many scenes have totally new connotations to the
original only the basic story remains the same but with a new angle.
5.THE PIN: A road movie and love story. This is based on the urban
myth that someone once stuck a pin in a map and followed it to its destination
each day to see what happened.
Russell never met any one who had actually
done it so it went for it. Arriving in Florida from England he hired a car got a
map and pin and had a two-week true adventure that is worthy of any road movie.
From naked Poetry to Hells Angels to Trailer Park Love to Strip clubs to
shoot outs and much more. It feature dangerous action sequences, sex and a very
touching love story.
6.THE CONFIDENCE TRIXTERS: The story of two small time con artists who join forces for the biggest score of their lives. The First part of the film features the Male & Female Con artist solo careers running parallel. The Second half is the twists and turns of the big con they perpetrate together.
7.6,000 MILES: This is the unique true story of a blind date that turned into an adventure of a lifetime. It starts with one adventurous guy in the UK meeting an Adventurous girl in the Philippines on the Internet. They effectively drop everything to go on a blind date with 6.000 miles separating them not a problem. It starts of as an awkward love affair and turns into a bit of an adventure involving Pirates, national fame and ultimate dark twist in the tale.
8.THE ADVENTURE: The story of a writer disillusioned by diminishing returns on his career in Hollywood who sets off on a for a new life in Florida via New York. It features many hair raising adventures ending in a 'Play Misty for me' Type affair. This is another road movie but without the car and has plenty of variety.
9.K-TIME: An Erotic Sci-Fi Conspiracy Thriller. This is a very unique film, with blockbuster tendencies. (Russell wants to Direct this one so details are only available to anybody who can agree to that criteria first).
2.21st CENTURY BOUNTY HUNTER: An ex detective tracks down anything with a price on its head from the Worlds most wanted criminals to hidden treasure to missing animals & People. Then the bounties and challenges become more extreme as the competition to collect the normal bounties becomes a crowded market place making way for a new style of bounty hunter and more unusual stories lines.
3.LEADER OF THE PACK: Adult drama about a 1960's girl group. It incorporates the struggle, rise & Fall of a Fictitious 1960's girl group. There have been a number of bland T.V movies about actual 60's girls groups where most of it is fake gloss and no grit. This features a more gritty realistic story of a girl group warts and all making it more 'Film Noir'. To add to it the sexual content will be a lot higher than the norm leading to much more interest and a different feel. It will also have great songs that can be released as a spin off to the program.
4. CULT T.V: More indepth look at Cult T.V From Themes to Fans. A look behind all areas of talent to what makes a T.V cult. To top 50 polls to a game show and music artists performing inside of this format
5. WHY ARE MAJOR RECORD COMPANIES SO CLUELESS: This is a documentary about how the major music business has never really discovered any talent. It's a real controversial eye opener. From Elvis, The Beatles to Abba, New Order. Even to todays top acts like Artic Monkeys & Franz Ferdinantand most majors artists beyond none were discovered by a major record labels who are only too keen to take the credit later giving the impression they had a clue when in fact they never had and by and large still don't.
6. CULT RECORD PRODUCERS: T.V series Documentary about Legendary Record producers.
