FLR made only 8 pop videos all made a mark in different ways. The first was Eleanor Rigby's legendary 'I want to sleep with you video'. was banned upon release it has been deleted for many years and is available exclusively ony on this DVD compilation. As Eleanor Rigby fans will know her debut single was also banned. Initially it was thrown out of the charts for giving away a free condom with the record. The TV show 'The Tube' who were never shy of a controversal subject then wanted to show the video. However because of all the media uproar around the release the IBA wanted to scruntinise the video thinking with such a title and Eleanors hot looks they expected to find some soft porn contained in it. Much to their disappointment there was none. Desperate to ban it someone noticed there were mods in the video riding around without wearing crash helmets so because this was showing something against the law they saw this as a way to ban it. So fans never got to see the video. A limited edition video was finally released in the 90's but it is now on DVD for the first time. Because Eleanor is so collectible and her output so small its a must have item for any fan.
The other Eleanor Rigby video is for what was to be her number one hit 'You Only Live Twice'.This track originally appeared on 'Themes from the Sixties Vol.1' (A great album of bright new cover versions of Cult TV and Film themes) Radio stations singled out this track for airplay and soon demand was there for a single. Sony missed the boat in the Uk being slow to release it although it sold well. However in Italy where the charts are mostly based on airplay it went to number one. Since Eleanor had disappeared when this came out a promo video was clevery put together with real footage of Eleanor and a stand in plus some nice James Bond like graphics. It proved popular in keeping sales and popularity of this single alive.

The other six pop video are by Box Office Poison who were the follow up to Eleanor Rigby featuring her songwriter/producer Russell Writer and eventually featuring what some called Eleanors sucessor 'Misty Woods'. The band liked releasing double A-Side singles so often there were two video for each single. The first was to have been a ground breaking first ever full length 3D pop Video for '1995' (The band were not only ahead of their time musically but also visually since 3D is now the rage some 15 years later). Sadly the 3D camera broke down after a few hours and it ended up being on film instead. It looks great but many scenes written specially for 3D had to be dropped so the video never reached its potential.
The other side of the single is perhaps the most sought after video FLR ever did. 'Checkmate'.This dance orientated track was filmed at the legendary Prisioner Village in Port Merion Wales. Its a unique place used for the cult 60's TV series 'The Prisoner'. The venue is as much the star of the video as the band. However its a great video in its own write and rightly won 2nd best indendent video of the year when it was released. Its a must have for Prisoner fans.
Although B.O.P released double A-sides there was no need with thier 2nd single 'Mysteries'. as it was 6 minutes long. This track is considered the bands masterpiece and the video is a bit of one as well.

The above three video featured Debbie Detroit & Jo Sharp (Vocals) and Ron Rage (Aka Howe) (sax) formerely of The Cure, Fools Dance & The Damned plus main man Russell C. Writer.(Punk Cello/Vocals) It featured a few guest artists Like Parsley of Adventures of Parsley.(Organ).

For the next three videos enter one 'Misty Woods' (Often called the sucessor to Eleanor Rigby for she was equally as talented and sexy). Its also important to point out that B.O.P had two lead singers at the time and 'Mouse' was the other who proved to be very popular. Mouse did lead vocals on the next single 'Teenage Sex' but was ill on the day of filming the pop video for the track so Misty stepped in to save the day and mime to Mouses vocal. This proved to be a very popular video as it was half cartoon half live action featuring Russell & Misty playing in front of top London locations.
Much to everybodies surprise this hit number one in the Russian pop video charts keeping David Bowie and Diana Ross off the top.
Alien is the next track and by now B.O.P were a duo of Russell & Misty. This was very much and experiemental video but was banned by TV because of the strobe lighting effect. Misty looks wild and sexy in it.
The last video release to promote B.O.P was 'Think for yourself' and this proved to be comercially the most popular featuring on many mainstream channels. Misty looks very hot in it and it is an interesting video to boot.
So that concludes the FLR Pop Video collection. At only 5 pounds plus p&p its got to be a must have item. (p&p is 2 Uk 3 elsewhere) If you are ordering from the U.S or Japan you should get an NSTC version that plays there or one that at least plays on all computers.
